red sea cruise with 3 yr old/sleeping bunks

hi all,

we are going with Thomson on a stay and cruise this Dec. The ship is the thomson celebration. We have a cabin for 4 people. Apparently there is two single beds with additional beds over these. Do you recommend the adults sleeping up high or are the beds safe enough for a toddler who will be nearly 3 by then. It is our first cruise so we are unsure. we have a blow up "ready bed" which could be used on the floor, but really dont want to take it if it can be avoided. Would appreciate any info.

Thanks in advance. ;)

why not just take one of the "bunk" mattresses off the bunk and put IT on the floor...kids can sleep anywhere, and find "adventure" sleeping fun!

I certainly wouldn't give up the comfy bed to a child! They weigh less...don't need the good bed!
