Air show Hudson river

Anyone sailing out of New York on June 19 or 20 should get a great view of the air races taking place near the statue of liberty.

Will be sailing on the 20th. This is the red bull air show, looks like a great show from the web site.....I am wondering if this will cause any traffic jams in Bayonne. The site says thousands attend this show.

Yes there is a good chance depending on the time you get to the area.

What time does it start on the 19th? Have some family getting off Explorer and heading south on the turnpike. Will they be effected?

According to the website, the qualifying rounds start at noon on Saturday.

 

We are sailing on Bayonne tomorrow (I guess it's today now!), and we came in today to see NYC. They were doing practice runs on the course and we took some great pics from Battery Park.

 

We are getting a car service from Newark Penn Station to the port at 10 tomorrow, hope the traffic is not affected too badly!
