Galveston ParkNCruise

Recommended Posts

Anybody ever used Galveston ParkNCruise before?. Supposedly it is right across from the cruise terminal and you can walk across the street after you park your car and also has covered parking.

The parking is not "directly" across from the embarkation point...the parking is down the block. There is a lot down the block with some covered parking...the covers look like canvas awnings. Most of the covered parking was damaged by Hurricane Ike so any covered parking is new.

If you park there and expect to walk to the cruise terminal, it is going to be a good haul with your luggage.

We recommend Lighthouse Parking...they are within a 5 minute shuttle ride to the cruise terminal...outdoor parking....look them up on the web and make an advance reservation to 1) save a few bucks and 2) ensure you have a parking space.

They will shuttle you to the cruise terminal and pick you up when you return. The we have used them 5 times (3 sailings on the Conquest and 2 sailings on the Ecstasy).

From what I remember, they dont have a free shuttle like the rest, but if you don't mind walking, they were good. Several mentions in this thread

We did the Galveston Park-N-Cruise. Right across the street from the terminal. No problem at all. We had reserved our spaces (needed 3) and they made sure they were right next to each other. After the cruise, I waited with bags while DH went and got car, didn't have to wait long. Others in our group walked to the lot with all their bags and without a problem.

this thread is asking about parkncruise specifically

well the reason no one had heard of park n cruise is because the first week they were open was when we went on our cruise may 16. They are still a very small operation. Just a couple of blocks from the port and they don't have shuttles but we had a few covered spots and we got there early enough to grab two and they only cost $40 which was great because we had two vehicles. I would recommend them.

Post 17 here mentioned them...
