kdillon1956 Posted February 4, 2005 #1 Share Posted February 4, 2005 Hello, I am travelling solo and plan to stay at B&Bs throughout the 8-day land portion of my trip to Alaska. I prefer pleasant accommodations with a decent breakfast (of course!) and do not need a lot of amenities. However, I have never shared a bath before and am considering doing so in order to save $$$. (Trying to find ways to economize...) If any of you have ever stayed in a B&B where you shared a bath with a stranger, would you please give me your opinions/advice? It sounds silly, but I'm trying to see if sharing a bath would both help save $$$ and also be comfortable for me. Thanks! Kathy
Budget Queen Posted February 5, 2005 #2 Share Posted February 5, 2005 I stayed in shared baths all over Alaska. Most all B&B's are spotless and the rooms sharing are only 2-3 usually, so not a lot of people. I find it a great savings and the way to meet plenty of interesting people. :) You will want to pack a light robe and slippers.
kdillon1956 Posted February 7, 2005 Author #3 Share Posted February 7, 2005 Thanks Budget Queen -- I think I'm going to give it a shot! Actually I think I am more interested in the breakfast than in the bath! Kathy
