Spirit Airlines Strike Over!

Great news---we have three flights booked on Spirit. One for a Florida vacation in September, one for the Ruby Princess in December, and one for the Grand Princess in January, 2011. We have been waiting for the frequent flyer seats to be posted for our March, 2011 Emerald Princess, but they have not been posted yet and we were beginning to wonder if Spirit could withstand a longer strike and we would have to re-book all our reservations.

Congratulations to the Spirit pilots. Although the details have not been announced yet, I hope they got a good contract. Happy pilots are better than disgruntled ones.

I would be concerned about paragraph #2 in both of these stories:

And in the AP story, at the very end, Spirit is cited as advising their Friday passengers to confirm flights on their website.

Making a deal and ending a strike are not necessarily the same thing.
