ifiteverstopsraining Posted June 18, 2010 #1 Share Posted June 18, 2010 Hi, I have 2 questions that I know will get answered here! 1 - Do I sign my 8mo's passport? Or do I print his name, or leave it blank? 2 - How did you bath your infant on board? Any suggestions or tricks are greatly appreciated! Thanks! reallyitsmema Posted June 18, 2010 #3 Share Posted June 18, 2010 Yes, the parent does sign the minors passport. There is an information sheet that comes with the passport that should tell you if you sign or print. As far as bathing, most people bring a small inflatable bathtub to bath their little ones. People also use it on their balcony or on deck as a little pool for the baby to splash in since they can't go in the pools with a diaper. A few ships have baby splash pools that have special filters that do allow diapered babies.
RoadTripFanatic Posted June 18, 2010 #4 Share Posted June 18, 2010 I found this tidbit on this website: http://www.nassauparadiseisland.com/passport/new-passport-for-my-child/ "When you receive your child's passport, if the child is under 14, in the space provided for signature, the mother or father must print the child's name and sign their own name. Then, in parenthesis by the parent's signature, write the word (mother) or (father) so authorities will know who signed for the child. If the child is 14 or 15, the child should sign." My DD has been signing her passport since she could write her own name and I've never had a problem. As for bathing an infant on a ship I would take an inflatable infant/toddler tub. I just found the same information too on this website. http://www.passportsandvisas.com/passport/faqpassport.asp# I tried the governments website but didn't find the exact information. He is a link though. http://travel.state.gov/passport/passport_1738.html
