How expensive is a blow drier in the beauty saloon of the princess cruise?

How good are their blowdriers? How many watts?

Do you get see sickness in the cruise? How good are the ear pads?

The hairdryer in the cabin is weak -- Have no idea about watts but it can't be that many! It gets the job done (eventually).

I don't get seasick at all so I can't really help you there.

I am not sure if the beauty salon sells blow dryers (but I hear they make a mean martini ;)- Kidding). The blow dryers in the rooms are barely adaquate. My DH could blow on my hair and dry it just as fast.

 

I tend to get a little sea sick and I use ginger products and sea bands as I cannot tolerate any of the oral or topical medications.

I have short hair and the blow dryer in the room does fine. Yes, it takes a bit longer but it gets the job done and I don't have to bring my own. Less things to pack and don't need the extra weight. If I had long hair and it was very thick I might feel differently.

 

I have never had a problem with being sea sick. I took Bonine the first couple of cruises and then never again.

I have short, fine hair, but even hairdryers at home take forever to use. So I just let it air dry for two hours. You won't hear me complain about hairdryers in cabins because I am not using one at home either.

My younger sister, on the other hand, has thick hair and packs her hairdryer every time no matter where she travels. She said all land hotels and resorts have weak hairdryers, so I would expect people like her to have the same problem on a cruise ship.

Just got off the Golden Princess yesterday. I have short, thick hair and the blow dryers worked fine--it took a little longer to dry but it really wasn't a problem. My daughter, though, has long, thick hair and luckily had a travel blow-dryer along since it would have taken forever to dry with the blow-dryer in the room.

 

Seasickness...we had 12 ft. waves for 24 hours last Sunday (the only day the ship wasn't cruising the Inside Passage). It was miserable and I was 'this close' to getting sick until the casino manager suggested that I drink a ginger ale. Presto--all better. My 18 year old daughter didn't fare as well though, and got sick a few times. She wasn't alone--there were people throwing up everywhere and the staff had little bags stashed all over the ship. My husband and son were fine--go figure!

Gotta be expected anytime as you're sailing in the North Pacific Ocean, not the Caribbean or the Med. I never get seasick but have heard people say that it is good to just get out on deck, get a breath of the fresh sea air and a wisp of the wind in your face.
