B2B Question

We are doing a B2B in 2011 leaving Seward to Vancouver and back to Seward. Can anyone tell me what the process will be in Vancouver? We will want to get off the ship and sight see in Vancouver, but would like some idea of how we will go through customs and immigration.

Thanks

Barbara

You will clear Canadian Customs and Immigration getting off the ship, and then re-clear US Customs and Immigration getting back on the ship.

We did a turnaround in Vancouver at Canada Place on a B2B last month. As a special accommodation for the B2B passengers, they arranged for us to be escorted through the entire process by one of the ship's officers.

First we met with him in a lounge where they served us coffee and pastries. Then he took us off the ship and through both Canadian and American customs/immigration together as a group, It was much faster and easier than if we had attempted to do it on our own.

We received the VIP treatment, getting taken right to the head of each line before all the other passengers. (I didn't blame them for glaring at us.) We re-boarded the ship before the new arriving passengers were permitted to board. They activated our new ship cards, took our pictures again, and then we were free to come and go as we pleased for the rest of the day. We were given transit passes so whenever we came back to the ship, we could just walk right on without needing to wait in line.

Hope it goes as smoothly for you.
