Ldyandrea Posted June 23, 2010 #1 Share Posted June 23, 2010 So, I had seen some information in the UK Cruise Critic blog about the ice bar on the Epic. I'm very keen to check this place out, but it also occurred to me that this might offer an interesting opportunity. I'm a yarn fiend, both in terms of knitting and crochet. While I know they can give you stuff to wear during your session in the ice bar, I was thinking it might actually be neat to knit or crochet up some snazzy gloves, a scarf and hat to go with those lovely fake fur coats they give you. I think it was good they mentioned that those with open toe shoes might be a bit uncomfortable at best. They also mentioned it was kind of slick so I'm thinking I might pack either a pair of ankle boots, or some other kind of closed-toe shoes along with a sweater of some kind. Knitwear for cruises in the Caribbean! Who'da thunk? :D
Sauer-kraut Posted June 23, 2010 #2 Share Posted June 23, 2010 Might I suggest just to get a pair of these for your sandals and knit yourself some toe-warmers! :D:D
Ms belp Posted June 24, 2010 #3 Share Posted June 24, 2010 They get a few broken bones claims and I bet that will go away. I'm sorry, I do work comp and what a stupid idea is this?
Sauer-kraut Posted June 24, 2010 #4 Share Posted June 24, 2010 I can't imagine the floor will be slippery, they should use a non-slip type rubber saftey flooring. Sheesh I hope they get OSHA in there for the bartenders.
