Euodam Aug 19,2010 - HAL excursions or do it on own

Anyone going on this cruise?

 

We were looking into tours online that were not HAL. For instance getting tickets for the Military Tatoo in Edinbugh is way cheaper if bought online. Has anyone had experience with this?

 

We do know that if you don't go on ship excursion you run the risk of being left behind but we do not feel that will be a problem.

To me, the biggest challenge would be getting back to the ship after the performance. Is Eurodam scheduled to depart at 1:00 AM? (That's the Prinsendam's departure time.) Many people will be attempting to hail cabs and other modes of transportation after the Tatoo is over. The ship's bus will be there ready for you.

 

Many times we schedule tours on our own; but in this case I would be very hesitant to try it independently.

Have you looked at the HAL Roll Call area for others sailing with you? You'll find them there. There is a good roll call going.

 

I'm with Jim. I wouldn't risk getting back to the ship on my own after the Military Tatoo in Edinbugh.

The ship isn't scheduled to leave until 7AM the next morning so I wouldn't think that an issue. I've seen prices online that are almost half price

Another vote for safety of having HAL's transporation back to the ship.
