aldrin Posted June 26, 2010 #1 Share Posted June 26, 2010 Has anyone done the farmhouse culinary experience in Rome? It is a private cooking class-sounds great, but somewhat expensive. I was wondering if my husband would enjoy it. What about taking the train on our own to Rome. Is the Leaning Tower of Pisa a worthwhile tour? ab0si Posted June 26, 2010 #2 Share Posted June 26, 2010 I suggest you post the cooking class question on the Crystal forum. As for Pisa ... The Field of Miracles, where the Leaning Tower is located, is one of the great public spaces in the world. The fact that the tower leans is rather beside the point imho. It is a very easy trip from Livorno (easy to do on your own via train, btw). Also to easy to get from Pisa to Lucca which is a wonderful walled city. Rare Keith1010 Posted June 26, 2010 #3 Share Posted June 26, 2010 We have taken the Pisa tour and it is worthwhile. A very unique tour offered by Crystal is the nightime visit of the Vatican after it is closed to the general public. Not sure if that is something that interests you but we took it a few years ago and it was very special. Keith
