Celebrity Wine Experience

How much is the Celebrity Wine Experience (Connoisseur Dinner, tasting, and Reidel exhibit)? Is it available on every cruise and ship? Can it be reserved in advance?

Hi,:D The Wine Connoisseur Dinner? I went to one last Sept on

Mercury and it was wonderful. I don't know that it is offered

on every cruise though. I would tell you to go see the Cellar

Master and/or Restaurant Manager on your particular cruise.

They would be able to give you an answer.

The Reidel thing? I don't know the price but I believe that

one is a "regular activity". Maybe someone who has

attended can help you.

Hi, Dinosaurdem. Just back from the 6/27 Solstice sailing and actually did the Riedel Workshop yesterday afternoon. $87 and includes a set of four glasses. Absolutely fantastic! My friend and I both felt it was one of the highlights of our trip! Really informative and fun! Completely amazing what the right glass can do....using the sauvignon blanc one right now, as a matter of fact!:D

If you mention it to your wine steward, he/she will be able to sign you up (mine did on Friday night at dinner, so I was all set.) My friend decided to do it last minute and he was able to sign up right at Cellar Masters about 15 minutes prior.

Not sure where home is for you, but Celebrity will ship your glasses home for $15 dollars. We're from South Florida so we just carried them off. If you plan on carrying them off they'll be delived up to your stateroom (mine arrived by 6 p.m.).

Seeing that you're wine lovers, you all also might want to check out the Wine Appreciation and Sabering at Sea event (Friday, 7/2 sea day for us). I didn't attend this one but my friends did. I think they said it was about $40 and it showcased some fantastic, fine wines. And the pours were very, very generous. My friend who did Riedel with me (and went to both events) said that while he loved the Wine Appreciation event, Riedel was his favorite.

Hope this helps. Enjoy your cruise!:)
