Saxman Totem - Is this walkable from town?

Just wondering if it is realistic to walk to / and or from Saxman Totem Pole Park. I saw it was only 2 miles, does anyone is it an easy walk?

I think it's an easy walk, unless the rain is coming down sideways. There is a sidewalk/bike trail all the way out there.

And, it's flat, until the uphill climb to Saxman. :)

We walked it a couple years ago and it's very nice. Much of it has water views. Didn't find the hill too intimidating but we did cab back just about the time the rain started pouring down.

I have walked it twice...once with the rain coming down sideways and the seagulls walking.

is it true that we will not be able to see the clan house/carving since we will visit the park independently? Is it possible to buy a "ticket" to enter (or provide a contribution or whatever)?...I like being an independent traveller....
