Lens rentals?

I've recently upgraded to the DSLR world. What I have is a Canon Rebel XS 10.1MP Digital SLR Camera with EF-S 18-55mm f/3.5-5.6 IS Lens. I'm going on a land trip this time to Dominican Republic. Right now a new lens isn't in the budget until next year.

 

What I'm looking for is a good place to rent a lens online and suggestions for which type you would rent. I've been looking at 18-200mm this way I have nice zoom, but I'm still new at all this. Also I'd like to rent one this way I can see if I like it before I shell out a few hundred on a lens that's not going to work for what I do.

I usually rent from a local shop but a friend recommended http://aperturent.com/ They seem to have great prices and good equipment.
