We are doing the Alaska Cruise on 5-16 with Princess Dawn. Ritz camera had a Quantaray Dakota 10x25 RUby Coated Folding Roof Prism Binocular on sale for $19.95 Magnification is 10X, Objective Diameter: 25mm, Angle of View: 5.8 degrees, Apparent ANgle of View: 58 degrees; field of view at 1000 yards: 276", minimum focus distance: 21'; dimensions (WxDxL) 2.45" x 1" x 4.25"

 

What are your thoughts. Is it a good binocular. Will it be okay for whale watching, etc. in Alaska.

For whale watching outside of a tour, you need wide angle, like 10x50 the min. for me. On a tour these will be fine, and for the price a great bargain. :)

These probably will be great for whale watching with a tour. But as mentioned you need wide angle for anything from the ship. :)
