Sushi on board (Imagination)

Hi All! First cruise next monday and my DH loves sushi. For those of who have experienced the sushi, what's the scoop? When is it available? Is it made to order? Variety? Quality? Any help is appreciated!! :D

Its only available a few hours a day..... But its good. I enjoy Sushi myself

Sushi is available at the Sushi Bar just outside the casino daily from 5:30 to 8:30. There tends to be a bit of a line, but that is mostly due to the fact that there is one Sushi Chef who makes each plate to order. I enjoyed the sushi nearly every day that I was on board the Imagination. The menu changes daily, typically with four different offerings.

Is it like forreal sushi or do they have like california rolls? How much can you order at once?

They had different varieties each night and I don't recall California Rolls served on any of the nights. I imagine that you can have as much as you like. You may have to ask for more than one plate as they are only small side plates.

I would guess that the Sushi we had on the Inspiration was similar. I tried it once, but I didn't like waiting over 45 mins in line for it, because like the OP said, there is only one sushi chef. I would think if they would even give him an asst, that would speed things up. But I would not do it again because of the wait.
