Staterooms on Oasis

Recommended Posts

Am Planning on booking a cruise on the Oasis for 2012, and being completely new to this was looking for a little advice from those in the know... would one of the Superior Ocean View rooms be large enough for myself, husband and teenage daughter or would i be better to look for a bigger room , ie Junior Suite? Not sure now the bed for the 3rd person works.... Im presuming the sofa coverts outs to a bed too?

Any help on this guys would be appreciated!!

I guess it really depends on how much space you'll need. Those cabins are 182 sq. ft...just slightly smaller than Carnival's standard cabins....it will be doable for 3, but tight.

In some rooms, there is a sofa bed (not all, so check the deck plans) and the attendant will put the bed out at night, and fold it up in the morning, so you'll have some floor space during the day.

A JS will be about the same, but with a larger space (about 100 sq. ft. larger).

Just got back and had a D2 balcony stateroom. Although the room had ample enough storage space, it is tight for three people especially when the pull out sofa is open. You can barely walk around the beds at that point.

When our teenage son cruised with us it was tight with the couch turned into a bed but that was not the problem.

He wanted to stay out late and we allowed him to do so and there were no problems with this. However, he then wanted to sleep late and we could not have the bed made up with him still in it. The Stateroom Attendant would not clean the room with him in it asleep.

We finally told him that he had to be out of the bed by 10 am and enforced it.

Make sure you discuss this with your daughter because it is a real pain to spend the morning in an unmade room.
