Anyone been in forward-facing cat D cabins on Volendam/Zaandam/etc?

Specifically cabins 6100 and 6102?

 

Is the view over the bow unobstructed so you can see where you are sailing? We love balconies but cannot afford one for Australia/NZ so thought this might be fun.

 

Please share your experiences.

I was in D6100 on a pacific coastal last fall and LOVED it.

Be aware that there is a door that leads to the outside deck near these cabins. The closing of that door might be a source of noise.

Dutch - thanks for posting those pictures. I wish Rotterdam had a cabin like that I would have booked it in a heartbeat. Forward facing ocean view and aft cabins are my favorites.

We'll have both these cabins on the 14 day Alaskan Adventurer Cruise on the Amsterdam next month. Can't wait!
