coveman Posted February 8, 2005 #1 Share Posted February 8, 2005 Does Princess give a Military Discount like Carnival does?
bjboothman Posted February 8, 2005 #2 Share Posted February 8, 2005 No they don't but I have a question for you. On Carnival's page they only give a few examples of military discounts for cruises leaving in the next month or two. Can you call them and get discounts for much later dates or are they all lastminute cruises? How good are the discounts vs a non-military discount? Linda the Book Lover Posted February 8, 2005 #3 Share Posted February 8, 2005 I called Carnival about a cruise the DH and I booked and the answer was there was not a military discount for that sailing. There is a thread on Carnival about military discounts and it seems hit or miss depending on the ship and departure time.
mringenoldus Posted February 8, 2005 #4 Share Posted February 8, 2005 I have found discounts listed on http://www.military.com for cruises and other hotel and travel attractions. The had a very informative article on the pros and cons (and how-to's) of Space A air travel.

mringenoldus Posted February 8, 2005 #6 Share Posted February 8, 2005 This morning http://www.military.com sent notice that Sea World and the other parks owned by Anheiser-Busch are offering free admission to military and 3 additional dependents. There is just a simple form to fill out at herosalute.com, It's good from now until Dec 2005. They just saved me $150 next month!! Thanks SeaWorld! LeeW Posted February 12, 2005 #8 Share Posted February 12, 2005 MOAA (formerly The Retired Officers Association) does have a travel agency but haven't used them. We do get mailings that indicate Princess discounts but these seem to be for specific cruises - maybe they buy blocks of rooms.
