tottoncruiser Posted July 15, 2010 #1 Share Posted July 15, 2010 Hi, We are about to book on Oriana for 35 nights, Could anyone advise on cabins, for the first time we are going in an inside cabin and are looking at A243, A247, A251, or A255? has anyone stayed in any of these cabins? Many Thanks, Darren
Rum Rat Posted July 15, 2010 #2 Share Posted July 15, 2010 All on A Deck. I avoid A Deck because of overhead noise. Late parties, sun loungers being dragged out at 5.00 in the morning. Have you read the tips on inside cabins? Main one being dark, take a plug in night light or leave the bathroom light on but shut the door. Been on A deck ........ once. Never been in an inside cabin
CASPALL Posted July 15, 2010 #3 Share Posted July 15, 2010 Good advice. C deck is best on Oriana if you want an inside cabin. If you take one near the back of the ship then it's good to be able to go out onto the deck to read. We had C335 - handy for the lifts, stairs and outside. Cruisingkaz Posted July 16, 2010 #4 Share Posted July 16, 2010 Hi We were in cabin A246 in April .... VERY noisy scraping of sunbeds, or tables, or whatever it was that was above us ! And this started VERY early, in the scheme of things ... around 7am !!! We were only on it for a week, so we could put up with it ... if you're going for 35 days, i would avoid A deck ! loopyloo33 Posted July 17, 2010 #7 Share Posted July 17, 2010 we have stayed on f212 which is very convenient for reception and is where most of the gangways went at ports. Midship and low down so during rough seas we hardly felt a thing. If you are comfortable listening to the noise of the engines then f deck is great.
