Smokeless Ashtray

Is this for use in your cabin and/or on your balcony?
In the Cabin. We have read a number of times of people using a smokeless ashtray. So far they have been the kind with filters that have to be replaced. I have seen some ionic type advertised and would like some first hand feed back from someone who has used one.

Thanks

Back when I smoked, I tried using one of these and it was a complete waste of money. It's somewhat okay as long as the cigarette is sitting directly in the ashtray. However, one must still pick up the cigarete and then exhale. And even exhaling directly at the ashtray (when one remembers to do this) doesn't really do all that much good.

I personally wouldn't waste the money. Just smoke on the balcony or in designated areas or quit altogether.
