Drink coupon question

Can a drink coupon be used for something fancy like a a frozen cappuccino? Yum, these are the best! Kaluha, Bailey's, Hazelnut, and ice cream. I can't remember how much they cost 3 years ago on our last cruise, but I believe they were almost $6.

If they cost 6 bucks --i Doubt it. Drink coupons are only good for any drink under 5.00

Some people have reported that they could get drinks that cost over 6 bucks--but I have used coupons on every cruise and was always told no i cant.

those drink coupons are laaaameee. we tried to use them on our last cruise and ended up paying the difference on alot of the drinks we had. i wanted to buy them up front to limit spending. it didn't work out that way

but you CAN pay the difference, yes? i enjoy a manhattan or cosmo - i'd like to be able to use them - or use two for a scotch etc.

I use the coupons all the time---especially for the frozen drinks that I get refilled into my soverneir cup. nots a great savings...I think its like less then 50 cents a drink you save.

I wonder if there is a way to get a current drink menu with prices. Anyone know?

I have not had any trouble using them for the drink of the day in the souvenir cup ($6.25) or any of the other drinks that are over $5... but I will say, I generally scope out a good bar waiter, give him a great tip upfront... no problems after that, LOL.... I think it depends on who you get.

 

If you do a search, you can find a drink price list (may even still be on the first page)... may not be the most current? I think based on the last one I saw on here, the prices were up about 5-10% on our cruise in October...

Thanks everyone. We'll buy a couple of drink coupons for the fancy drinks. We're still wondering if there is a really nice sandy and relatively deserted beach somewhere in Costa Maya. Could we buy a few beers at port to take with us?
