mikeymars Posted February 8, 2005 #1 Share Posted February 8, 2005 Based on the reviews I've read, a lot the January 2005 cruises scheduled to anchor in Grand Cayman couldn't because of "ocean/weather conditions." Does anyone know if conditions have improved recently?
rbpjr Posted February 8, 2005 #2 Share Posted February 8, 2005 The Grandeur did anchor on the 25th of Jan. Great weather too. the water is a little cold than cozumel. it took awhile for the tender process, so make sure you get your tender ticket early. TheWog Posted February 9, 2005 #3 Share Posted February 9, 2005 Grandeur pulled in right next to us on the Enchantment and we were able to go ashore on the 25th as well. Water was great and we did some jet skiing, it was a little rough though.
maverickks Posted February 9, 2005 #4 Share Posted February 9, 2005 He Wog, We have a party of 6 and want to do a little jet skiing. Can you help us out and tell us where to go and how much they rent for there? We will be there at the end of March. Thank you for the help. TheWog Posted February 9, 2005 #5 Share Posted February 9, 2005 We stopped at the beach right at the Courtyard. It was a $4 per person taxi ride from downtown and they rented them right there. The beach was next to Sea Grape Beach. Because of the surf that day our place wasn't renting so we walked down to Sea Grape and found someone who would rent. We saw 3 places total, so you will have plenty of machines available. The one at the Courtyard had about 10 sitting on the beach. All the places charged the same and that was $65.00 for 1/2 hour. You could put two people on it and come and go and switch drivers as many times as you wanted. It was a lot of fun and they had a large area in which you could use them. So go to Sea Grape or right next to it at Courtyard and you will find them. Each place also had chairs and drinks and food. Have fun!
