bcteachers Posted July 25, 2010 #28 Share Posted July 25, 2010 We have two teens with us this trip and are very interested in whether we should be switching to late dinner seating. Many ports last until 6 pm or so... seems obvious that we will be rushed to our early dinner seating yet I don't want to do the Pre dinner shows either. I am really hoping to get a peek at the Funtimes to get an idea of show times and other stuff:) Which dinner seating would you recommend? Can't wait! We really loved most everything on our freedom cruise. If i had teens ,i would go with the anytime dining option. That way you can eat at 7 or 8 and not have to rush back from excurssions. We sail Feb 2011 and would appreciate any info you have. Thank you. ragu
CRZCRAZY Posted July 26, 2010 #33 Share Posted July 26, 2010 Also looking forward to your pictures. We're doing the 8 day in January right after we get off the Destiny, only have to pay for one round trip airfare. Just have to get up to Ft Lauderdale from Miami that morning. Did you notice what the VIP accommodations at the pier looked like?
gometros Posted July 26, 2010 #34 Share Posted July 26, 2010 So sorry that I haven't replied. Been sick with a really bad cold. I will try to answer all the questions. I am working on getting the Funtimes scanned and posted. The Piano Bar is NON smoking. You can only smoke in the Casino, Players Sports Bar and on the starboard side of the open deck. THe main dining room experience was wonderful. The food was excellent and loved the atmosphere. The Circle C and Circle O had hat and shades party,. We were at the port by 10:45. We had to wait about 15 minutes before going through security. When we got the the check in line many were ahead of us and they started boarding right away. Fast and easy. Loved the location of my room. Would I pay for it again, ummmm maybe. Only one floor up to the Lido deck. Everything else was down. So far the Empress deck has been my favorite deck. I will post a longer review with the Fun times and all about my shore excursions later this week. I have to catch up after a week in bed. Thanks for the confirmation that the piano bar is not smoking. Where you in a suite or a balcony room? We're in a category OS room on the Empress deck and would love to hear back from someone who has already sailed in one.

Thanks, claybreaker
