11 month old cruiser

We are taking a 5 day on the Fantasy. I am planning to take him on the glass bottom boats and the Ardastra Garden tour but what is there to do on board with him? He will not be allowed in the pool correct?

We are traveling with family and have a GS with adjoining OV.

No, you won't be able to bring him in the pools (although you may see other people doing it... don't be tempted - there's reasons why you shouldn't). Buy a small inflatable pool at a dollar store and use it for the baby instead - they can be busy for hours with a small amount of water. There's tons of threads on this on this forum.

As far as things to do... bring some small toys, check out any infants programs at the kids clubs, go for walks in the stroller (our 11 month old daughter loved her walks on deck). Our daughter liked the lights and music at the shows, and tried lots of new foods in the MDR.

If you've got family aboard with you, ask if they can take him for short periods while you get a break, but I'm sure lots of things will keep you busy! He'll have a great time!

No diapered person without control of their bowels can go in the pools...adults, too! The water is filtered sea water....and you don't want e-coli in the water where folks may get it in their mouths! Even many chlorinated pools don't allowed swim diapers.

We cruised with our 11 month old (and 5 year old) on Carnival in January, and there were some limited hours where they had "family play time" at Camp Carnival for kids under 2. I think it was from noon to 2:00 p.m. on sea days, and 9 to noon on port days. You also have the option of dropping them off for babysitting during these hours (or after 10:00 p.m. at night) for $6/hour. You can pick up the schedule at Camp Carnival - luckily we went to check out CC with our older daughter and found they also had some limited activities for the little ones - otherwise, we wouldn't have known since she was under 2, we just assumed she couldn't go.

Or as others have said, lots of walking around the deck in her stroller, roaming the unoccupied areas of the ship during the day (i.e. the lounges), and if you little one is a night owl, ours actually really enjoyed the shows with all the music and lights.
