Rare Essiesmom Posted July 23, 2010 #2 Share Posted July 23, 2010 On IOS you will have American plugs in the cabin...But there might also be a European plug for items that are 22V or dual voltage, so if you want to be able to use that outlet you would need either the UK type adapter or the European two prong round. For a more definitive answer, you might ask on the Royal Caribbean board under Cruise Lines P-Z. EM
jotabecu Posted July 23, 2010 #3 Share Posted July 23, 2010 On most ocean ships I recall seeing both. I always bring adapters though for the hotels, just in case.
AmoMondo Posted July 23, 2010 #4 Share Posted July 23, 2010 Although they have both European and US sockets on the line I use, they are never UK ones so I always bring a UK-European 2 pin adaptor - actually I take 2 so that I can still plug in my hairdryer or straighteners if my phone is charging
chasm4u Posted July 24, 2010 #5 Share Posted July 24, 2010 if you want to just be safe anyway we bought our adpater plugs on amazon for like 1.
SuitCaseBears Posted July 24, 2010 #6 Share Posted July 24, 2010 Also, depending on how many plug in things you have a small power strip or an extension cord with some extra sockets is helpful. We bring both. There usually aren't that many outlets per cabin - either that or there are a lot of outlets, depending on how many plug in things you have with you.
