First Time Explorer Questions

Have cruise booked for the first time on the Explorer. have cruised many times on Princess but this is the first time on RC. A couple of questions:

 

1. What is the cover charge for Portofinos and Chops Grill?

2. Is there a cover charge for Johnnie Rockets or the Cafe deli?

3. Have an interior cabin on deck 7. Will it have a mini fridge?

4. Do they offer any kind of "Ultimate Drink Card" like Princess for mocktails etc?

5. For thoase who have done both what differences can we expect?

6. What are the show times in the theater?

4. Do they offer any kind of "Ultimate Drink Card" like Princess for mocktails etc? No they only have packages for wine, water, juice and soda. They wil have a 'drink of the day' which comes out quite cheap (alcoholic)

5. For thoase who have done both what differences can we expect? Pass

6. What are the show times in the theater? Depends on the cruise but work on 7p and 9.30p

Chops and portofino run $25 and $20 respectively. per person and includes the tip

Johhny Rockets is $4.95 pp

You should have a fridge.

RCI only offers a soda package for fountain soda...no "mocktail" card.

There are usually 2 shows, one for early seating (after dinner) and one for late seating (before dinner)...sometimes there's a late night adult show (10:30)....if you choose MTD, you'll have to decide which show you'd like to see, and time your meal accordingly.

The ice show is shown several times, so you pick the one that best suits....they are all the same show,, so you only need go to 1!

The only major difference I can think of, besides the ship itself (RCI is very easy to navigate!) will be no "High Tea" in the afternoon!

CD, There is no Chops on Explorer. The fridges are not refrigerators simply a cooler. They are also stocked. And, as the other posters said, JR's is $4.95 but you pay extra for soda (same as bar) and milkshakes. But burgers , fries and rings etc. are included in cover.
