kanitter Posted July 29, 2010 #1 Share Posted July 29, 2010 For those of you that live or travel from London to Dover I am looking for a store that I could stop and purchase a case of gluten free beer. I prefer Bard's but dh (who is the one who drinks it ) is willing to try other brands. We are wanting to stop on our way from London to Dover for our cruise out of Dover in October. By then I should have the paper that I need from the ship that will allow us to bring a small amount on board. We had asked for permission for a 12 pack for dh but also asked for a 12 pack for dd who also has celiac. So any information you can give would be appreciated. Everyone have a good one, Sue
Globaliser Posted July 30, 2010 #2 Share Posted July 30, 2010 Are you doing a pre-cruise stay in London? If so, one option you might want to look into is getting an online shop to deliver to your hotel in time for you to take it with you when you transfer to Dover. Otherwise, I suspect that you may need to research and find a specialist shop. Googling "gluten free beer uk" returns a number of UK producers, who claim that one or other of the big supermarket chains stock their stuff, but I can't find it on the supermarkets' own websites. spectre123 Posted November 10, 2010 #3 Share Posted November 10, 2010 Gluten free beer is stocked at most of the larger uk supermarkets, in my opinion the ones I have tried aren't that great though. There are several great British ciders to try if you fancy something different, my favourite being Aspalls http://www.aspall.co.uk/
