Is there internet on the Splendour, if so how much

Yes, there's Wifi in some of the public areas, plus wired computers in the computer areas if you don't bring a laptop - but in my experience, it is very, very slow.

A: Yes, depending on the ship there are two options for staying connected while onboard.

 

Wireless Internet Access (Wi-Fi)

There will be six designated *"Hot Spots" which vary from ship to ship.

The Internet Cafe/Workstation

These stations provide access to e-mail and the Internet, plus direct connections to favorite websites for stock, sports and entertainment updates. You can also send virtual postcards while at sea, and in ports-of-call worldwide. If you don't have an e-mail account, you can also establish one onboard.

It's $.65 per min....less if you buy a "package" of mins....the larger the package, the less per min. charge it will be.

There is no way to get a "free" connection.

Honestly I would use it only for an emergency. Since I've crusied before with RCL, I get a $ credit (last cruise was $7.50) which was about 11 free minutes. You can not do much in 11 min. It is slow, think slower than dial up.

 

Ports will have internet cafes and prices are very reasonable and speed will be good. For example, in Mykonos the internet cafe at the beach we were at (Paradise Beach) had like a 15 min, 30 min, 1 hr plan. I did the 30 min for 2.50 euros! It was fast and I was able to check email and reply to a few.

 

You could try to google internet cafes for your ports, or perhaps check out the ports of call thread to see if anyone has posted any!
