Pre Cruise Hotel

Looking to spend about 150.00, we have no car but would love to be right at the port. Any suggestions on where to stay. Thanks so much. This will be my first Carnival.... 9 Royal Caribbeans. Wanted to try something new.

Last August we stayed at the Doubletree Miami on 72nd Ave. We had to fly across the country (from WA State) so we got in late at night. They have a free 24 hr. shuttle from the airport and we bought a package deal that included breakfast and transportation to the port the next morning. Being unfamiliar with Miami it was so nice to have everything arranged ahead of time. We didn't have to worry about a thing after we boarded the plane. I didn't write down the price in my notes, but I remember it being average for the area (I'm almost certain it was a little less than $150).

there is a thread called where to stay in Miami on the florida boards. Id seen it up here before it got moved.

 

We too got the Intercontinental for $84 plus tax ($96.XX), a 5 star near bayside and within viewing of the Miami port

 

the site was lastminute something or other that everyone is using.
