How many days before the sail date did they call? Did you glean any clues what criteria they used to hand out the upgrades? Thanks for responding! Both times I had an assigned cabin at time of booking and did not get a phone call. I found out when I was in the VIP lounge checking in. Chip1 Posted August 10, 2010 #28 Share Posted August 10, 2010 Wondering if being contacted for an upsale (or free upgrade) is at all based on whether or not you booked originally with Carnival ORwith an outside TA.Does Carnival want to reward those that booked direct with them?
