sima Posted August 7, 2010 #1 Share Posted August 7, 2010 Hello, Last time I was in Naples port, I took a shore excursion and there were many steps to negotiate and I almost missed the bus. I would like to know if I take a taxi or a limousine from Naples port, will it be able to pick me up near the ship like in Civitavecchia, without having to deal with steps. Thanks in advance, Sima
euro cruiser Posted August 7, 2010 #2 Share Posted August 7, 2010 I'm not sure I fully understand what you are asking, but perhaps our experience in Naples last summer will help. We left our ship in Naples with two wheelchairs and never dealt with any steps; simply follow the handicap signs and they take you to the elevators down to street level, where the drivers meet clients. chipmaster Posted August 7, 2010 #3 Share Posted August 7, 2010 We used RIL and they were great, pick and drop off as close to the entrance as possible. I have no solution to the many steps once in places like Pompeii or the steep hills and attractions along the Amalfi coast, that is part of the magic of this place, NO. Good luck, but I think private is totally the way to go here.
sima Posted August 10, 2010 Author #4 Share Posted August 10, 2010 Hello, Thank you very much for the replys. Regarding the port elevetors, do you recall if they are new or old and if they looked safe enough? Thanks, Sima
euro cruiser Posted August 10, 2010 #5 Share Posted August 10, 2010 They are fine. I got in them with my 87-year-old mother, for crying out loud.
