CruisinFinsUp Posted August 10, 2010 #1 Share Posted August 10, 2010 Hi, Does anyone know what types of services / shopping / taxi's etc we can expect on Christmas Eve please? We will be in port 9am-6pm, but I would think that some things would likely be closing early as people want to go home and celebrate! Thanks much for any info! Aplmac Posted August 10, 2010 #2 Share Posted August 10, 2010 Christmas Eve is perhaps the busiest commercial day of the year. All stores will be open and coining money, and things will be busy generally. Taxi drivers will be around too. There may be some 'early closing' 4 p.m. -that's early compared to how they've been opening until 9 p.m. most late-Dec. days building up to Christmas. The shopping in Bridgetown can be frantic on Christmas Eve, but that depends on the economy. You'd be well advised to shop in the cruise terminal, since most downtown shops have outlets right there in the terminal -avoid the rush of locals in Bridgetown! ;) Otherwise all beaches, bars, restaurants, watersports will be open for business! .
