Walking from Pantheon to Termini Station

It's about a mile and a half from the Pantheon to Termini, some of it uphill. Is there a reason it must be Termini?

You could walk about four blocks (about a quarter of a mile) to the #8 tram at Largo Argentina, and take that to the Roma Trastevere station (if you are headed to Civitavecchia).

You could go to the Colosseo metro, which is about a mile away, and take the metro two stops to the Ostiense station.

Or you could walk a little over a half mile to the Barberini metro station and go two stops to Termini.

There are also several bus options.

You could also take one of the small Electrico buses that wind through the tourist area. It goes right by the Pantheon. I believe that it also stops at Termini. Someone on this board may have better information. We have been in Rome a number of times and often 'jump' on the Electrico for a rest break and to see where it is going. There are two, maybe three different lines that start at Bourghese area and end near the Vatican.
