12PM return flight LAX upon disembarkation Island Princess

Hi...We had to book an 11AM return flight on March 5th because that was the only 2 seats left for us. When I spoke to our TA and asked if this would be a problem she said "even though we have paid for transfer service to LAX she suggested we tell the Purser as soon as we get aboard about our return flight so we can be the first off"..."and if the shuttle waits too long , that we should take a taxi to LAX" (far better than missing your flight)...We are hoping she is correct as we leave in one week.

The problem is not the Island but how many ships are docked in San Pedro at the same time and which ship unloads first.

Good Luck...

The ship may dock at 6AM but by the time it clears Customs and Immigration, it could be 9AM or later. You should be OK with a 12 Noon flight but it's not a guarantee should there be any kind of a delay.

A suggestion is to book either Prime Time Shuttle or SuperShuttle ahead of time. They're very good about picking you up and getting you to the airport quickly. Plus, you don't have to stand in line for a taxi. You can find both on the web and do the booking on the web.

We were on the Island last Oct. We booked Super Shuttle and were at LAX by 10:00am. We got off the ship around 9:30 as I recall. Everything went smoothly. If you had any delay it might be tight.

We booked a mid-afternoon flight and of course, were sorry we did. One never knows.
