OceanSea Posted August 12, 2010 #1 Share Posted August 12, 2010 We are taking an unrelated friend on our cruise. He does not have a passport. Since he is 18 he will not be needing any sort of guardian signature. Royal Caribbean requires guests to be staying in a room with someone at least 21, which he is. So as long as he is 18 and has his birth certificate and government issued ID, he'll be fine? No need to have his father sign a form. You'd think I would know this by now but we've never brought anyone along before. Thanks!
Happy ks Posted August 12, 2010 #2 Share Posted August 12, 2010 You are fine. Just make sure he is booked under the same name on his drivers license and birth certificate, not an abbreviation of his name or nickname.

sail7seas Posted August 12, 2010 #4 Share Posted August 12, 2010 You might wish to have him sign a medical power of attorney for the length of your trip in the very off chance he is injured or becomes ill, you can seek medical care for him. LOL You beat me to it! You might also talk to him about buying things. Is he going to be using a credit card on the trip - because just like you, he'll have to notify the credit card company, especially if its his parents card.
