Looking to book a cruise for my mom and dads 50th wedding aniversary. Will be traveling with a group of 22 people. 12 adults and 10 children. All are extended family, brothers and sisters and most kids are older than 10. We are looking at the Inspiration in July 2011. We are all pretty flexible (6 familys sleeping ) at the house we grew up in at Christmas. How many people would we be able to get at one table? We are thinking about going with your time dining so that we are more flexible.

Carnival doesnt even allow you to pick your table size .. unless you know someone who can contact the ship ahead of time ... they will pick the table size(s).

There are some that are ten tops, they can squeeze in two more chairs ... but doesnt mean you will get one as a for instance.

Just make sure all the bookings are linked and they will try to seat you all together.

You are better off linking all of your cabins together, and going with either early or late seating. If you select anytime, you are going to have a bit of a wait, no matter how you configure your seats.

The max number of people at a table is 10 - best bet is to have 3 tables of 6 (18) and 1 table of 4 if the dining room staff can do that.

Discuss amongst everyone and find out what their preference is and take it from there.

And if you are booking with either one TA or Carnival, make sure that all of the cabins are linked together!

Unless you are talking going to the maitre d' the first day because you know you want a change ... I personally wouldnt even discuss people's preferences ahead of time .. Id be discussing lets go along with it if Carnival gets us all together in the same area.

We are all booking together and they said that they will link the cabins. We would be happy with tables of 8 or 10. Do they have 10 tops in your time. We have 6 teenagers who are High School age. They are cousins who live in differents parts of the country who like to do things by themselves when they get together. They are well behaved, would they be able to go to your time dining by themselves?

Your Time Dining was designed for parties for two or four. Larger parties will likely encounter a wait and a party of 18 might be delayed 45 minutes or more.

Select a dining time and if your bookings are/will be linked y'all will be fine...

On the Destiny last year we had your time dining with a group of ten and they only had two tables for ten in the anytime dining area. They suggested every night that we switch to early or late where they have larger tables set up. We just showed up as soon as the mdr opened and took one of the two. A larger party would have even more trouble....I would suggest choosing early or late if you all want to eat together. Cindy
