dustball Posted August 16, 2010 #1 Share Posted August 16, 2010 I have not seen anyone mention this, but read it in the dailies.... Did anyone rent or borrow a guitar? Or does anyone have any info on this? My questions are: What is the fee? Are these electric (if so amp?) or accoustic? Any comments on the experience? Thanks so much for your help! Stephanie From what I understand, they are all Gibson electric, all with a small amp, and headphones that must be used (as to not disturb others in adjoining rooms). Not sure of the price.
I.Like.Beer Posted August 16, 2010 #3 Share Posted August 16, 2010 Actually, duh, I found the info I saved a while back: Norwegian Cruise Line will offer a "Check-In-Rock-Out" program on the Norwegian Epic, enabling guests to rent a Gibson guitar and play it in their stateroom. For $10 per day, passengers get the guitar and a private amplifier with headphones. Guests can rent the equipment at the Fat Cats Jazz and Blues Club. The package includes a Line 6 Pod device, which features controls and special effects so that players can select the type of sound they want to create. Monster Cable supplies the headphones and cables.
Lewis/Klitschko Posted August 22, 2010 #4 Share Posted August 22, 2010 That is a fine idea. It'd be great to organize little jam sessions. Here's me: Thinking of picking up a cheap acoustic in London for my transatlantic.
