If so please respond here or our home email is: stephenandtom@att.net. Thanks. Hope to meet some fun travelers - looking forward to the cruise ! ;) :D

1. St. Croix (St. Croix Safari Tours)

website: gotostcroix.com/safaritours.

Need a minimum of 5 people, max of 10.

$35 per person - pay cash at end of tour

2. Dominica - Bumpping Tours: (minimum 6 to 10 people) $40 per person See description below:

Scenic Dominica

Fresh water Lake: This is the largest fresh water lake found on the Island (10 acres). You will take a drive up to the lake while enjoying a great view of our rain forest. There will be photo opportunities whenever you wish to.

Wotten Waven Sulphur Springs: (small boiling pools) 2 minutes walk one way up a few steps.

Botanical Gardens:(There you will see different plants trees and flowers grown on the Island) 5 minutes from Morne Bruce. You will also make a stop at an aviary where you could see the two native parrots of the Island.

Morne Bruce: (an area where you can see the entire city of Roseau from the top of a hill) 7 minutes drive from the ship. (Great for taking photos)

Roseau Drive: You will be driven around Roseau stopping at some of the historic buildings in the town.

The estimated duration of the tour is about 3.5 to 4.5 hours and has about 3 to 4 hours of driving and about 5 minutes walking, total (on flat, at the lake area). The tour cost $40.00us per person (6 to 10 people adults). Children under the 14 years but older than 5 years, pays $10.00us less ( $35.00us). If the tour is done privately (1-4 people) the cost is $200.00us. There's no charge for children 5 and under. You pay for the tour after it has been completed.

You pay for the tour after it has been completed, with cash or travellers cheques

NB: Site passes will be provided ,you do not have to go stand in line to purchase site passes.

There will be complementary local beers, soft-drinks and local bottled water on the tour.

3. Tobago: 3 companies we're looking at - no decisions yet - has anyone used any of these tour companies? Anyone have any other recommendations for Tobago?

Hi Stephen,

If you are interested in snorkeling, I have a great recommendation for you!

The only time that we have visited Tobago, we spent the day with Captain Peter on his jetboat, the Zoe. It is a deck boat (approx. 21 foot) outfitted with Jetski-type engines, which afford it great speed and maneuverability (sp?). Peter grew up in Tobago and knows all of the good snorkeling spots.

We took a taxi to meet Peter at a local resort, and we left from that beach. The bonus of the Zoe's speed is that Peter kept us ahead of the ship's tours going to some of the same spots to snorkel, including Nylon Pool. He made it a fun ride for our teenage daughter and her friend, too, with lots of 360's and quick turns.

Peter knows a lot about the island and was a great snorkeling guide, very interested that we see turtles and other creatures. It was a great day and we would definitely go again!

Here is the website for the Zoe: http://zoe-tobago.com/?page_id=29

You'll have much better luck it you at least provide the dates that you're planning on embarking on these tours. I suggest you find the roll call for the cruise you'll be on, and post there. You'll be reaching your target audience.

If you don't know about roll calls, find the sticky at the top of the boards that says ROLL CALLS, etc., and click there.

Hi;

I lived in St. Croix many years ago and was there last December on a previous cruise.

Beach and snorkeling is limited out of Frederiksted. Some of my friends used to swim/dive right off the pier. There is a tourist office at the end of the pier. Usually, they have a special taxi deal, also at the end of pier, to get you to Christiansted (across the island) for about $8-$9 pp. RT. Many beach/swim tours are available on the Christiansted wharf area. Buck Island is the big tour and there is a self-guided, underwater, snorkeling tour as part of the National Park. It's fun! There is an information office (in the old scale house) at the point where King St. nears the fort Just be sure that you can get back to the ship in time!
