archimedes Posted August 18, 2010 #1 Share Posted August 18, 2010 I tried to book this cruise today but was told that it was sold out - 8 months before departure! Does anyone know if it's just because the itinerary is pop:(ular or is there a huge corporate group booked? I've known this to happen on Holland America ships in the past. jeanlyon Posted August 18, 2010 #2 Share Posted August 18, 2010 My guess is that it's part of a World Cruise, so that section is sold out. Wouldn't have thought it was anything to do with a corporate group.
archimedes Posted August 20, 2010 Author #3 Share Posted August 20, 2010 Thanks for the heads-up. Just discovered that it is part of a 72 night cruise from UK to Alaska and return. I can book the final 10 day segment from NY to UK but, for only a short part, its quite pricey. over $3000 p.p. There are lots of cabins available for the full cruise so maybe we'll just see if anything's available at the last minute.
englishgal Posted August 24, 2010 #4 Share Posted August 24, 2010 We are on the 72 night cruise and friends have tried to get on the cruise you are interested in and have been told sold out, but I am sure nearer the time they will let some more cabins come available if the whole ship has not been booked for the full cruise. Good luck and we may see you there!!!
