Emmabelle Posted August 21, 2010 #1 Share Posted August 21, 2010 Just booked the Valor for next May with early saver fare, I hope I didn't make a mistake, but it saved us $240 off the cruise. We've never changed cruise plans once they've been made, but watch this time we'll have to. Opinions?
okwriter Posted August 21, 2010 #2 Share Posted August 21, 2010 Congrats, Emmabelle! I love the feeling of booking a cruise! Sounds like you got a great deal! I'm an ES fan, too, so I know what you mean about "What if xxx happens this time?" Do you take out travel insurance? I did for December (first time). Hope I don't need it, but...??? Cute avatar!! firefly333 Posted August 21, 2010 #3 Share Posted August 21, 2010 Iv never changed plans either ... until I started booking ES fare, and then all sorts of things I wanted to change ... and cant. Darn no name change rule. As someone wrote on another thread, its like insurance, you never plan on making changes until you do.

I didn't get Carnival's insurance, but I will get it from Insuremytrip, it's usually cheaper there. :) thanks about the avatar, we have two black cats, so it seemed appropriate! ;) Firefly, ain't it the truth! :D

cruisingbajan Posted August 21, 2010 #6 Share Posted August 21, 2010 Early saver is great. I booked ES for my honeymoon cruise. In addition to about 3 price drops before final payment, I got over $250 in OBC after final payment was made.:D You will love the Valor...it is a great ship.:)
med2cruise Posted August 21, 2010 #7 Share Posted August 21, 2010 Thanks for the positives on ES, I am trying to book for next year and a little concerned, but I think we should be good. I will check into insurance as well.
