LimeNoSalt Posted February 13, 2005 #1 Share Posted February 13, 2005 :) :) We want to take an excursion with my parents, my father is very limited to the amount of walking he can do. The 2 excursions we were thinking of.... are the ocean to ocean or the railway journey. Has anyone taken either of these? If so....can you please give me an idea of the amount of walking involved:) . Thanks
Nitemare Posted February 13, 2005 #2 Share Posted February 13, 2005 Very little walking in Ocean 2 Ocean, maybe 200 yards from dock to bus, a short walk from bus to boat, and short walks later. But the boat is a bit rocky as it is a much smaller ship.

Rare Lobbylin Posted February 19, 2005 #4 Share Posted February 19, 2005 Personally, we stayed on the ship during our transit of the canal and the views are wonderful, with the scenery changing constantly as you traverse the canal and locks... Just a thought, but on this occasion - and with limited mobility, have you considered just staying on the ship... and taking excursions in other ports where you'd get more from an excursion? cruiseLMG Posted October 19, 2005 #5 Share Posted October 19, 2005 We did the railroad in 2003 it was very nice and the walking was limited, but you do not see much of the canal from the train.
