ES and category change

Good morning. My aunt has a 9A category with ES rate - final payment is not due until Oct. If she requests a change in category (down not up) is there a penalty fee? If so what is it?

 

Has anyone had to make this change before?

It was made clear to us when we booked that we could upgrade as often as we wanted, but not downgrade. I don't know what the penalty would be though.

No downgrades allowed with ES; however, right now there are free upgrades going on, so she might just maybe get a reduced rate. Just keep watching and good luck.

I wanted to go from a cabin that turned into a 8B to a 8A and wasnt allowed. No downgrades .... unless she wants to cancel and rebook ... since she is before final payment, she might be allowed to get by with a $50 pp penalty and cancel and rebook.Some have managed. The savings would have to be worth it.
