How is the past guest party on the Dream? We sailed on the Liberty last year and they held the past guest party in the big showroom theatre and it was a horrible venue. Hope the one on the Dream is back in the lounge :)

Thanks

We were on the Dream this past April and even though the cruise was great...the past guest party SUCKED!! We got there 10 minutes early and they only had 3 waiters bringing drinks around. Everytime they got near us, their tray was empty (drinks and appitizers). My brother who is a VIP member said that "Amenity" sucked too. We have been on 5 Carnival cruises (my brother on 18) and even though he is a VIP member, we were on board BEFORE him !! Carnival continues to lose it's personability!! Don't bother going...you'll get better service on the Lido deck!

We were on the Dream in April of this year, and the Past Guest party was in the show lounge, unlike the previous poster we had no problems getting drinks :). The Fond Farewell party was in the rear lounge -- much better arrangement there.

The past guest party on the Dream this past April was held in the main show theater. We had absolutely no issues with getting drinks. We enjoyed the party. Don't forget the Captain's Farewell party will be held the day before you debark. Some people have missed this in the capers since it's not a full blown announcement. Ours was around 4pm on the Dream and was held in the same lounge the comedy club was in. Enjoy your cruise :)

They didn't publicize the farewell party on the Dream the week of 8/14. It was listed in the Fun Times, but that was it. If you didn't know about it you would miss it. There were about 300 people there....out of 4600~! Past guest party was ho-hum. Still waiting for those snacks that were "coming right back to us". Afterward I wonder "why did I bother?"

SIL and I did past guests in January. DW and BIL skipped Wasn't anything special...They showed a film of Carnival history and had everyone clap if they saw a prior ship they were on. All of us skipped the past guest party in May. Farewell party too. Just not special any more. Deck party was mostly "bead toss with too loud music over tinny speakers" Not worth getting jostled by tweeners trying to mimic NL outfielders. Certainly not worth enduring for an hour and a half before the Mexican buffet such as it was is served. You can get the left over chocolate desserts the next day on the Lido deck.

We were on Dream in July and past guest party was good. No problem getting drinks or food. As a matter of fact, our server kept bringing us beers and for most of the hour we had two in front of us at all times. He did a great job taking care of us.

Same for us in April. Sure it will just the same in November ;)

We enjoyed the past guest party on the Dream. They had free flowing drinks and snacks. Some times the waiters would give us two drinks at a time so we wouldn't have to wait so long. The drinks were good, but the appetizers sucked.

Here's a couple pictures that we took at the party:
