jjb415 Posted August 28, 2010 #3 Share Posted August 28, 2010 Easiest answer - check the Crown & Anchor site on the RCCL website. Yeah, here is the link to all of the Diamond benefits. One of the most popular are the Balcony/Suite Discount & Nightly Diamond Event. http://www.royalcaribbean.com/cas/benefitsLoggedout.do;jsessionid=0000iEsyCliGB87pt-BRjq6nROY:13hldio7n?cS=NAVBAR

djjoe Posted August 28, 2010 #6 Share Posted August 28, 2010 What's the nightly diamond event........free drinks?:D On the Explorer, it's red wine, white wine, champagne, and soft drinks. No beer or mixed drinks. That's what it was on our last cruise. I'll find out on 9/02. We are sailing to Canada/NE. It starts on the 2nd night. yogimax Posted August 28, 2010 #8 Share Posted August 28, 2010 What's the nightly diamond event........free drinks?:D Free wine, champagne, soda. At times we've just had a mixed nut snack, at other times regular hors d'oevres. It's a great way to meet fellow frequent cruisers.
nanfromatlanta Posted August 28, 2010 #9 Share Posted August 28, 2010 Which bar on the Explorer do they hold these nightly events?:o When you board, an envelope will be on the bed in your cabin with all of the information regarding the Diamond events any any other information regarding your Diamond level. It will be from the Diamond concierge. ;)

nanfromatlanta Posted August 28, 2010 #12 Share Posted August 28, 2010 Diamond Concierge? What's that? I've never received a letter from one. We were recently on the Liberty and since we are just Diamond and were not in a suiite, we had a Concierge in the Diamond Lounge who was different from the Concierge in the Concierge Lounge. In other words, there were two Concierges, one for each lounge. ;)

havebagswilltravel Posted August 31, 2010 #15 Share Posted August 31, 2010 We've sailed six times since the institution of the Diamond Event; on six different ships, none of which had Diamond Lounges. We have always received a letter in our cabin telling us the location and time of the nightly Diamond Event and about all the other benefits to which we could look forward during the cruise. The letter may not have been signed by a Diamond Concierge; as there wasn't one; but we certainly got a letter each time. I WOULD expect it. yogimax Posted August 31, 2010 #16 Share Posted August 31, 2010 Seems that most eoften the Diamond Event will be in a section of the Viking Crown Lounge. That, of course, is a great setting.
joyride21 Posted September 1, 2010 #17 Share Posted September 1, 2010 Just reached as in you just completed your 10th cruise credit, (and if so, how was your cruise?) or just reached as in the 14 nighter on the Explorer will make you diamond? If the latter, your perks won't kick in until after that cruise...
