How easy to get cash onboard? ATM?

I have a relatively small amount of XPF and same for USD that I will bring with me, but wondering if I should bring more cash. Is there an ATM on board? Or will the ship cash personal checks? If ATM, what currency does it dispense?

 

Of course, I plan to use plastic whenever possible, but just wondering, if we realize we miscalculated how much actual cash we would need, how easy to get more.

There are banks and ATMs at every port - changing money on a ship is usually a bad idea. The exchange rate is very poor.

 

 

We used very little cash on the trip. We got some local money at the airport when we arrived. I used it up on my last mai tai at the Tahiti Intercontinental on the evening we departed. Sigh.
