Calling Card question

Will an international card purchased here work from my cell phone on the ship on a sea day and in Cozumel and Grand Caymen? If not can you recommend alternatives.

 

I cant use my cell phone as its a business phone, my friend said I could borrow hers for texting, but at some point I will want to speak to the kids to check in. Thanks for your input!

Iv never heard of a international card that is for a cell phone .... if you are talking about one of those cards you buy minutes on that you can call from any phone, no they wouldnt work. They only work FROM the U.S. ... not TO the U.S. ...and mine didnt even work from Key West pay phone.
