Planning a day in Nassau. Thought we would take a bit of a walking tour and hit the Pirates Museum.

We will have a 6yo in tow who luvs pirates. Anything that is a must see? We might need a snack or lunch. Are there any shops or restaurants that we should hit? Any suggestions would be great!

start your visit with a buggy ride around the city

this is easy to find just off the docks

ask the driver to drop you at the pirate mus' at the end

walk back towards the docks from there and you'll pass many shops and the straw market as well as plenty of places for lunch . . . altho it is just about 4 blocks.

We took our 4-yr old grandson with us to the Pirate Museum last October. He is a huge pirate fan, but he was scared when we entered the museum. The lights are turned way down inside the exhibit, which he was prepared for. Then he became very scared when a "real" pirate started talking about the old days when pirates ran ragged around the islands. My wife had to take him outside because he started crying.

The museum is great and air-conditioned, which felt great considering it was 94 outside! Caution....souveniers in their gift shop are EXPENSIVE!
