mexico5 Posted September 13, 2010 #1 Share Posted September 13, 2010 Hi there, sorry if this has been posted before but can someone tell me if Carnival has "anytime dining" or whatever it is called? I know HAL, Princess and NCL have it but wondered about Carnival. We are interested in eating at any time in the dining room and having a table for 2. Thanks! firefly333 Posted September 13, 2010 #3 Share Posted September 13, 2010 Yes you can sign up for anytime dining ... might not be fleet wide. All the Carnival ships Iv been on lately have it, Ecstasy, Conquest and Triumph.
Kerryman50 Posted September 13, 2010 #4 Share Posted September 13, 2010 Carnival calls it "Your Time Dining" same thing and we had on The Glory this summer and have it again on The Miracle this fall. On our last cruise on The Glory it worked out great, even on elegant night.
mexico5 Posted September 13, 2010 Author #5 Share Posted September 13, 2010 Thanks! And you can just walk in anytime you want and request a table for 2 and get it? We do not mind waiting if necessary!
Kerryman50 Posted September 13, 2010 #6 Share Posted September 13, 2010 There will be a specified dining area and the dining times are between 5:45pm and 9:30pm. If there is a table for 2 available you'll be seated right away. Otherwise you'll be given a pager if there's going to be a wait and when a table becomes available you get paged. On The Glory if there was a wait we went and had a pre-dinner drink at the lobby bar.
hywaybeachbum Posted September 13, 2010 #7 Share Posted September 13, 2010 Hi there, sorry if this has been posted before but can someone tell me if Carnival has "anytime dining" or whatever it is called? I know HAL, Princess and NCL have it but wondered about Carnival. We are interested in eating at any time in the dining room and having a table for 2. Thanks! This year in March, we took our first cruise and had selected any time dining. We loved it. We always had just a table to ourselves. Most of the time we were seated immediately but once we waited about 10 minutes.
saturnsc Posted September 13, 2010 #8 Share Posted September 13, 2010 Yes, it's just like at a restaurant, first come first served. If you want a table for two, it's often a wait albiet short.
Cruisin'Trooper Posted September 13, 2010 #9 Share Posted September 13, 2010 We have used it on the past 3 Carnival cruises and are scheduled for it on our next one in October. Anytime dining opens 15 minutes earlier than main dining. Each time on the first night we have told them that we want the same table and staff for the entire cruise and told them what our expected arrival time would be the following night. Each night we walked right in and they took us to the same table, etc. It is our way of having the personal service a cruise is known for, but the luxury of coming when we were ready. Win Win - you'll love it!

mexico5 Posted September 14, 2010 Author #11 Share Posted September 14, 2010 Thanks! If it is not fleet wide yet I will be sure to check the ship first to make sure they have it...I won't sail any other way! Love anytime dining!
silverwolf Posted September 14, 2010 #12 Share Posted September 14, 2010 We love the anytime dining option. We can plan our activities around the time we want to eat. Sometimes we want an hour nap after coming from a port. We didn't have to wait for a table, and we received great service. Highly recommended.
