Tampa Cruise hints- Hotels, Port, other good info??

If you need hotel help - I needed two rooms and just got the Hyatt Regency for $50/per night/per room on Priceline! I bid today for a cruise in 2 weeks

I really wanted to try for 2 rooms on Priceline but the only other time I did that, we were given 2 rooms with 1 king bed in each. And with 6 of us this time I can't take a chance at getting double occupancy rooms. Three of us in one king bed ain't gonna work, LOL!!!

We also got the Hyatt Regency on Priceline for $55+, so around $70.00 after taxes and fees.

 

Friday night at the end of October.

 

We're doing a 5 night cruise so 6 night parking at the city lot across the street will be ~$60.

 

Total, all in is about $130 or we could have reserved the Holiday Inn Express or Hampton Inn with "free parking" for about $109+ so about $120 total and stay in Rocky Point. Fun place, but no match to downtown location, Channelside, and Ybor City, plus it's nowhere near the quality of a Hyatt or a Westin or a Marriott, etc....

 

Plus we like to do Bern's Steakhouse on our pre-cruise stays so the downtown location gives us better options to do just that.

We did priceline for Jan 1- 3 precruise. Got Courtyard by Marriott 3*'s downtown $55 a night. Booked 2 rooms.

Where you guys are getting the Hyatt & Marriott ect?? We arent going until June But It's worth a try!:D

Downtown Tampa, 3.5* or higher, but since you are not going until next June, don't even bother doing Priceline until about March/April of next year.
